Our Honeymoon Has Come To An End . . .

We have been gone 11 days, we have driven over 2,000 miles, and we severely miss our dogs. It's sad really but we are so ready to come home! Our honeymoon has been great. San Diego is so nice. We spent 2 days laying on the beach, went shopping, went to Sea World and did other tourist-y things but we miss being home! We are already planning our next San Diego trip though!

Since I am just positive that Allen married me because I am a GO-GO-GO person I kept him go-go-going this week! I had things planned every day, including places to have dinner :-) We had the zoo on the agenda today but when we didn't get out of bed until 10:00 am we realized just how exhausted we were! Today included waking up late, lounging on the beach, and eating pizza in bed in our hotel room! How romantic!!! Oh well, such is life.

I can't believe that as of tomorrow we will already have been married 1 week! Haha! Doesn't seem like much in the grand scheme of things but that week flew by. I told Allen that our life is just going to whiz past us. Next thing we know we are going to be grandparents wondering where the time went. Lol. (Not for a long time though!)

Another reason I think I am so excited to go back home is because I really feel like I can start my life now. Weird. I love Allen and we are both looking forward to creating our future together. My itty bitty business is picking up and as much as I severly miss school, I just don't think the debt is worth it. Life will be good either way.

Tomorrow morning we will start our trek back home to our puppers. We have to survey the damage that the storm caused to our poor tree in the front yard :-( Allen was devastated when my mom called to say the storm had split the ginormous tree down the middle! Tuesday is Allen's birthday, the big 3-0 and we are celebrating Monday with the fam. Allen and I will go out Tues for dinner. In 1 week we are celebrating our marriage with our Arizona friends and family and we are really looking forward to that! So catching up on work and preparing for celebrations should keep us extra busy this week!

Oh, and email me if you want more pictures!!!

Today was exhausting. . .

We spent 7 hours at Disneyland today. It was extremely hot and packed full of people. This is me making a note to myself to never visit Disneyland during the summer.

We started the day in California Adventure. Rode Soarin' Over California and the big roller coaster over there. We had lunch there as well. Even though we only rode 2 rides, we were there for a long time! Oh, I also bought my wedding ears! :-)

We then made our way over to Disneyland. The first thing we did was get our "Just Married" buttons, lol! Then we walked around trying to find a ride without an hour wait. We ended up riding: Disneyland Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean (great when you are hot!), Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Finding Nemo (disappointing), and Space Mountain. Those took 7 hours!!!

Our evening ended earlier than we anticipated. We were exhausted and hungry. We left the park, went to dinner and we are now winding down, looking at wedding pictures in our hotel room. Today I learned that I have a cranky husband in crowded areas full of screaming children :-)

Tomorrow we are off to San Diego!!!

Honeymoon, Day 1

Today we drove for 7 hours! We got to the Queen Mary in Long Beach and it is AMAZING! A must see! The halls are sooooooooooooooooooooooo long. I tried to take a picture but it doesn't do it justice!

We ate dinner and we are now laying in bed. We will explore more tomorrow ... after Disneyland that is!!!

We Did It!!!

Yesterday was indescribable. Far better than anything I had ever dreamed of. My day began at 3:30 am. My eyes popped open. My stomach hurt from a mixture of alcohol and nerves. It was apparent that nobody in my room (my mom and dad and my Aunt Michell) were going to be awake anytime soon. I immediately went into the bathroom where I sat for approximately 30 minutes. . .trying to make myself throw up by staring at the toilet. No luck. I went and laid back down, petted Trixie. I decided at 4:45 to take a bath. After my bath I sat outside and just cried. I wasn't sure why but I knew I needed it. I then went and ate some toast and waited for everyone to wake up.

Ashley, my mom, and I left for Eagle Ridge at 7:15. First stop was my grandma's where the race was on to load up ALL of the wedding stuff. Before we left I decided to give Ashley her gift. The sob fest began and was recorded by my wonderful Uncle Mike.

We arrived at Eagle Ridge around 8:00 am. My awesome cousin Julie was ALL READY there with the curling irons hot! We unloaded the car and I walked around crying, looking at everything. Julie started my hair and everyone else ran around getting the place ready.
The morning went by fast. Before I knew it my make-up was finished, my hair was done with tiara in place.

It took 3 grown women to put my gown on me. My sister-in-law Arrow and cousin Brandie helped me put on my bra and crinoline. Ashley, Arrow and Brandie helped carefully put my dress on over my head without touching my hair or face. After it was on, I took one look and was bawling again.

Each time a new person came in the room, I cried. Poor Ashley would cry every time I did. Thank God for waterproof mascara!

It was finally time to walk down the aisle. I was sick with worry but my dad was calmer than you could ever imagine. As I walked down the aisle Allen and I just locked eyes and tried to comfort each other. He mouthed to me that I was so beautiful. It was such a surreal moment. I forgot that there were so many people surrounding us. The ceremony went lightning fast and it was beautiful.

Our reception was perfect. I was able to talk to every single person there. Allen and I were able to enjoy each part of our day. The cake was perfect and beautiful. The candy buffet was a hit. The flowers were gorgeous! Everything was beyond perfect!

I got so many compliments about how awesome our wedding was. So many people said it was one of the best, most beautiful weddings they have ever been to. Wow! The judge who married us, Judge Joseph Biafore, also married my parents over 25 years ago. He absolutely loved our vows and said they were the best he has ever done. He is going to keep them and pass them on :-) People loved how personal we made the wedding from the programs to the personalized candy buffet.

It was absolutely the best day of my life. I know I am missing so many little details. I woke up this morning trying to remember every little piece of yesterday.

I will try and add and update this! For a sneak peek of candid wedding shots go to: http://tinyurl.com/5ldwx7
